Welcome to SeasonNest. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SeasonNest mobile applications, web applications, and seasonnest.org (collectively, the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use SeasonNest
SeasonNest is intended for use by adults who are at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction). By using the Service you confirm that you are at least 18. If you are creating an account on behalf of a youth-sports organization, you also confirm that you are authorized to do so.
SeasonNest is not designed for use directly by children. Parents and guardians may add their children as "athletes" inside the app to manage the child's sports participation, but children themselves do not create accounts.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- If you become aware of unauthorized use of your account, notify us immediately at support@seasonnest.org.
3. Roles and organizations
SeasonNest organizes users into "organizations" (a club, league, or team) and assigns each user a role: parent, coach, manager, or admin. Different roles see different information and have different permissions, as described in the app and our Privacy Policy.
If you are an admin, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you post about your organization (events, payment requests, announcements, rosters), for inviting only people who should be members, and for promptly removing members who should no longer have access.
4. Payments
SeasonNest does not currently process payment transactions. Admins may post "payment requests" inside the app to track dues and fees, and parents see the requested amounts and their payment status. The actual collection of payments — by check, cash, Venmo, Zelle, Stripe, or any other method — happens outside the Service. SeasonNest is not a party to those payment transactions and is not responsible for them.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harassing, hateful, or harmful purpose.
- Post content that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Use the Service to harass, bully, or threaten any person, including children.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, organizations, or data.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service except through a coordinated disclosure with us.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Use automated means (scrapers, bots) to access the Service except as permitted by us in writing.
- Use the Service to send spam or other unauthorized commercial messages.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (messages, announcements, photos, athlete information, etc.). You grant SeasonNest a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process your content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you and your organization. We do not use your content for advertising or train-of-AI purposes.
7. Reporting abuse
If you see content or behavior on SeasonNest that violates these Terms — especially anything involving harm to a child — please report it immediately by emailing support@seasonnest.org with the subject line "Abuse report". We will respond within one business day.
8. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time directly in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, behave abusively, or expose us or our users to legal risk.
9. Service changes and availability
We work hard to keep the Service running smoothly, but we don't guarantee it will always be available. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a change that materially limits a feature you depend on, we'll do our best to give you reasonable notice.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SeasonNest and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SeasonNest and its operators against any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits your rights as a consumer under the laws of your home jurisdiction.
14. Apple App Store additional terms
If you obtained the SeasonNest mobile app through the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- These Terms are between you and SeasonNest, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your license to use the app is non-transferable and limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app.
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
